Oak Hades Statue

Hades was the Olympian god of the underworld and ruler of the realm of the dead. He was depicted as a solemn, bearded man often accompanied by the three-headed dog Cerberus. His attributes included a bident, a helm of darkness, a scepter, and the key to the underworld. Hades presided over the dead with stern justice, neither evil nor malicious, but inevitable. In classical sculpture and fresco, he was usually depicted clothed in dark, regal garments, seated on a throne or standing beside Persephone.
