Veles, the Slavic god of earth, waters, livestock, and the underworld, is one of the most significant deities in ancient Slavic mythology. Often depicted as a wise old man with a long beard or in the form of a bear or serpent, Veles was both a protector of herds and a guide of souls to the afterlife. He ruled over wealth, trade, and magic, opposing the thunder god Perun in a cosmic struggle of order and chaos. Worship of Veles was widespread among early Slavs, and traces of his image and symbols have survived in folk traditions, rituals, and talismans across Eastern Europe..
Our Veles statue is made of oak hardwood by hands of skilled Norse artisans. The statue is covered with natural wax oil to keep it more authentic. Check out other oak statues: Perun, Svarog, Thor and Frigg.
