 Dionis was the Olympian god of wine, festivity, ecstasy, and theatre. He was depicted as a youthful, often effeminate figure, sometimes bearded, crowned with ivy or grapevines, and accompanied by satyrs and maenads. His attributes included the thyrsus (a pine-cone-tipped staff), drinking cup, grape cluster, and leopard skin. In classical sculpture and fresco, he was frequently shown in relaxed or ecstatic poses, symbolizing both divine joy and wild abandon
