Mimir was the Norse god of wisdom, knowledge, and counsel. He was depicted as a wise figure, often represented as a talking head after being beheaded during the Aesir-Vanir war. His attributes included a well, a drinking horn, and the roots of the World Tree Yggdrasil. Mimir was the guardian of the sacred well Mímisbrunnr, which granted wisdom to those who drank from it. In Norse mythology, Odin sacrificed one of his eyes to gain a drink from Mimir’s well and receive its great knowledge
